Spiti literally means 'Middle land' as it is located between India and mystic Tibet. Spiti is well known for its Buddhist culture, rugged villages, cold desert beauty and is home to several monasteries like the Key Monastery, Dhankar Monastery, Kungri Monastery and Tabo Monastery. Spiti attracts many travelers, including streams of Indian motorcyclists, as a kind of mini- Ladakh without tourist crowds, which is fair enough, since its pristine nature (high-altitude desert )and culture (Tibetan Buddhist) are still intact. In this tour package travel to the Last Village of India at Chitkul and plan your lunch at 'Hindustan ka Aakhri Dhaba, Drive to the 'World's Highest Motorable Village' - Komic and Send a postcard from 'Highest Post Office' in the World to your loved ones. Itinerary

Day 1: Reach Manali | Local Sightseeing

Leave Delhi at 7PM (Day 0). In the morning reach Manali, check in the
hotel and freshen up .
After breakfast, get ready for the local sightseeing of Manali, visit the
ancient cave temple- Hadimba devi temple and Manu Temple,
dedicated to Sage Manu.
Later explore streets of old Manali and try different cuisines at the local
Hippie Cafe's.
Come back to the hotel by evening. Dinner and Overnight stay in
Manali.

Day 2: Manali to kaza

Wake up early in the morning and after hot and fresh breakfast head
towards Kaza via Atal tunnel.
Enjoy the magical drive over Kunzum Pass to enter the middle land-
mystic Spiti Valley.
Enjoy the mesmerizing views of beautiful landscapes on the drive to
Kaza.
Reach Kaza in the evening. Check in to the hotel and freshen up.
Have your mouthwatering dinner under the sky full of stars and
overnight in Kaza.

Day 3: Kaza Sightseeing

Wake-up early in the morning and get mesmerized by the beautiful
sunrise.
After breakfast, get ready for a full day excursion of Spiti Valley.
Visit the village of the Langza Buddha statue and get awestruck by its beauty.
Drive to the highest motorable road village in the world- Komic and visit
the famous Tanggyud monastery, next stop is Hikkim and from here
send a postcard from 'Highest Post Office' in the World to your loved
ones.
Back to Kaza by evening, Dinner and overnight stay in Kaza

Day 4: Kaza to Chandrataal

Wake up early and after having a hearty breakfast, leave for beautiful
crescent shaped Chandratal Lake.
Enroute visit the highest Asia'shighest suspended bridge- ChiCham Bridge
and stop at oldest monastery in Spiti Valley- Key Gompa Monastery.
ln the afternoon reach Chandratal, beauty of this place is spectacular and
the lake is overlooked by the mountains on one side and a circque on the
other.
Check in to the campsite near Chandratal. Dinner and overnight in camps
under the gaze of milky way Galaxy.

Day 5: Departure via Manali

Post breakfast we will start our journey back to Manali through Kaza
Road.
On the way, we will be crossing Atal tunnel and pass through some
stunning landscape to reach Manali by afternoon.
After some leisure time at cafes in Manali, we will be boarding an
evening volvo to Delhi.
Overnight journey to Delhi. Reach Delhi the next morning with beautiful
trip memories.

Things you should know before you book!
  • This is backpacking adventure tour You will be staying with locals of the region in their homestays.
  • Food served will be local menu and what people generally eat in the region One cannot expect hotel like services in homestays.
  • Conditions in winters are extremely harsh, Dry toilets will be used as Water in the pipelines freezes so no running water will be available.
  • Locals have limited supply of wood so Bukhari will work for limited time.
  • Air is thin and dry winds flow during winters, you have to take care of your own health.
  • Vehicle ac will not work in the mountains 
  • Tour may get cancelled if we don't receive enough bookings and Routes De India will not be responsible for any charges borne by customers like flight cancellation charge or train cancellation charge We will provide you a free date change option or full refund of amount paid to us

  • Cancellations done 14 - 7 days prior to date of departure 70% of the total trip cost would be charged as cancellation fees
