Itinerary

Day 01: Mumbai To Cochin ​

Board the train from LTT to Cochin for an overnight journey.

Day 02: Cochin 

Upon arrival in Cochin, our local tour representative will escort you to your hotel for check-in and a chance to freshen up. In the evening, visit Marine Drive to enjoy its scenic beauty. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Cochin.

Day 03: Cochin to Munnar 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and depart for Munnar. En route, you will visit Cheriyar Waterfall, Vallara Waterfall, and spice plantations. Dinner and overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 04: Munnar 

After breakfast, begin your journey towards Munnar for sightseeing. Enjoy a jeep safari (at your own cost) to Mattupetty Dam, Tea Estates, Eco Point, and Rose Garden. Dinner and overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 05: Munnar - Thekkady - Periyar 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Thekkady. En route, enjoy an Elephant Safari (at your own cost). In the evening, experience Kalaripayattu, the traditional martial arts show of Kerala. Dinner and overnight stay  in Thekkady.

Day 06: Thekkady - Alleppey 

Early in the morning, enjoy a boating experience at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Alleppey. Experience the serene backwaters and scenic beauty while staying aboard a Kerala-style houseboat. Dinner and an overnight stay will be on the houseboat.

Day 7 : Alleppey - Mumbai 

After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and transfer to Cochin to board a train back to Mumbai.

Day 08: Mumbai 

Arrive in Mumbai with cherished memories.

Things you should know before you book!
  • This is backpacking adventure tour You will be staying with locals of the region in their homestays.
  • Food served will be local menu and what people generally eat in the region One cannot expect hotel like services in homestays.
  • Conditions in winters are extremely harsh, Dry toilets will be used as Water in the pipelines freezes so no running water will be available.
  • Locals have limited supply of wood so Bukhari will work for limited time.
  • Air is thin and dry winds flow during winters, you have to take care of your own health.
  • Vehicle ac will not work in the mountains 
  • Tour may get cancelled if we don't receive enough bookings and Routes De India will not be responsible for any charges borne by customers like flight cancellation charge or train cancellation charge We will provide you a free date change option or full refund of amount paid to us
  • Any extra charges due to change in itinerary due to any reason will borne by travelers (except - if company changes the itinerary)
  • This trip takes you through high altitude regions of Himalayas and certain level of fitness is required to complete this trip

  • Booking amount is non refundable (Rs. 4500)
  • Cancellations done 30 days prior to date of departure - No cancellation charge (booking amount not refundable)
  • Cancellations done 29 - 15 days prior to date of departure 40% of the total trip cost would be charged as cancellation fees
  • Cancellations done 14 - 7 days prior to date of departure 70% of the total trip cost would be charged as cancellation fees
  • Cancellations done 7 - 1 days prior to date of departure 100% of the total trip cost would be charged as cancellation fees You are not applicable for a refund if you fail to show up on the day of departure under the given timeline that has been provided to you beforehand
